In Burbank, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across California, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Burbank is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Burbank is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I have not been in Corner Bakery in years (pre COVID), and I regret spending $27 for the saltiest Caesar salad I have ever tasted, a BBLT (one B is supposed to be for balsamic which it DID NOT have) that I could have made at home. It was toasted white bread with mayo, lettuce, 2 slices of tomatoes, and two very thin pieces of bacon. The chai latte was overly sweet. I will not be coming back. I was so disappointed. As for atmosphere, the music was so too loud for me to read my novel. The girl at the counter was friendly, but when I looked for a place to sit, many tables needed to be cleaned for anyone to use them. They either did not have enough staff to keep the tables clean, or they need to better schedule cleaning every 5-10 minutes to keep the tables ready for customers to sit and use.

Awesome experience at The Corner! The wait staff were top-notch and made sure our drinks stayed topped off throughout the meal. They were attentive to our needs without being overbearing, which made for excellent service. The food was really good, but the Wagyu burger was absolutely amazing β€” flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. I will definitely be back!

December 2025: Stopped by for breakfast and had the steel cut oatmeal and the veggie breakfast burrito. Both were very tasty. I normally don't think of this place for oatmeal but I will definitely come back again. The oatmeal was cooked perfectly and toppings were good. Burrito was tasty with the salsa. Wasn't super heavy.

Our recent visit left us more disappointed than delighted. A water leak from the roof rendered several tables unusable, forcing us into a cramped seating areaβ€”a clear inconvenience. We ordered the chicken pesto sandwich, but the bread was noticeably stale, detracting from an otherwise tasty filling. On the bright side, the cheddar broccoli soup earned genuine praise for its rich flavor and comforting texture. Overall, the experience was marred by the seating shortage and the sub‑par bakery item. We hope the roof issue and freshness of baked goods receive prompt attention.

I stopped by this Corner Bakery in Burbank this morning because my wife was craving their chicken pomodori sandwich. I was already in the area getting my breakfast burrito nearby so it just worked out for me to get my wife her sandwich. I placed my order online through their website for pickup. I did it right when they open because it will not let you order ahead of time. I got my wife her chicken pomodori and got the ceasar salad as her side. It said the pickup time would be in 15 minutes so it worked out. When you get to the place the entrance is on San Fernando because the small street entrance is for exiting only. I found parking easily since I think I was their first customer of the day. They have outdoor seating here if you want to sit outside. When I walked inside, it's very quiet and seem kind of a traditional setup. There was only 1 person working and I told her that I was here for a mobile order pickup. She was very polite with me and checked that my order was all there in the bag. I took it home for my wife to eat her food and she loved it.
